I am home for spring break and wanted to find a Pinterest pin that I could recreate without the need to go to the store to get supplies. I luckily found this pin, which taught me how to make very easy donuts! I love anything with cinnamon and sugar, so this recipe was perfect for me! My mom even had all the ingredients it required, so I didn’t even have to go to the store to buy anything!

Got Stress?

This week has been super busy and stressful! I haven’t really gotten to take a minute and just “chill.” It’s been a week of projects, reading, interviews, party planning and no sleep.

Personally, I like a little bit of stress in my life. It keeps me motivated and productive. But this week was the kind of stress that really just wears you out.

Chef Deme

This week I decided to get back into the kitchen. Risotto is one of my favorite foods and I wanted to see if I could make it from scratch without my mom’s help. I had a couple of risotto recipes pinned already and decided to look for a main dish to go with it. I found a recipe for Parmesan encrusted tilapia with a tomato cream sauce that sounded good. I thought the tomato and spinach risotto would pair well with this.

Raspberry Cream Cheese Coffee Cake

This week I decided to bake! My favorite dessert (if you consider it a dessert) is coffee cake! There is this bakery by my house back in Schaumburg that has to die for coffee cake, and there are unfortunately no bakeries near Columbia that make it quite the same way. So I explored Pinterest to see if I could find a similar, but easy recipe. No such luck. But, I managed to find two recipes that I could combine to create the coffee cake I wanted. The first recipe had the directions to make a simple cake mix cinnamon streusel coffee cake. I liked this one because it didn’t have a lot of ingredients and wouldn’t take a long time. I preferred to make the cake from scratch, but I didn’t want to go out and buy a ton of ingredients. The second recipe was for a cream cheese and fruit coffee cake, which is my favorite!
